TuncTop: Mokum Stories(2020)
A former Rietveld Academy graduate, TuncTop is an artist with a multi-cultural background. Using video as his main medium, TuncTop explores and analyzes human behavior with a touch of humor. His works aim to bridge between people from different cultures by blending simple ideas and actions with his multidisciplinary skills.
During the lockdown, TuncTop collaborated with Framer Framed for a ‘home residency’. The project Mokum Stories (2020) focuses on our neighborhood: the East of Amsterdam . Using a specific video technique called ‘ Karikafilm ‘, the work will be a cartoon documentary based on original and real stories collected in and around the East of Amsterdam during this strange time.
