Humans of Amsterdam

From 1 June, mouth caps on public transport are mandatory. Mouth caps are indispensable in this coronation era, but not equally useful for everyone. The hearing impaired and deaf can no longer see the mouth. Lip-reading, which is officially called speech loss, is therefore not possible, while mouth image and facial expressions are very important to understand speech. Because your hearing loss is not visible, it is often not recognized by someone else. So two dilemmas in one: recognition and communication.
On the website of Make your Mask you will find the manual for making an approved window mask. In this way, speech impediment remains possible.
Another good idea: a textile sticker from World Wide Visible on your mouth mask to indicate that you are hearing impaired.
