Dissent on Nieuwmarkt square

If patients become critically ill they are given many different medicines – to keep them asleep, to manage their blood pressure or the function of the heart, or to relax the muscles. This relaxation is needed so that a ventilator can take over the patient’s breathing completely. An intravenous drip inserted in the neck or groin delivers the dose. Here, a buddy carefully checks the medicines being administered.
