Meals for the homeless

A large part of daily care is taking over and evaluating the physical functions of our patients. My colleague can listen to the lungs with the stethoscope and hear whether both lungs expand properly. The main functions are checked via the monitor above the bed and the ventilator. This continuously provides information about the heart, blood pressure and lungs. It is the task of the ICU nurse to interpret all those numbers and values, and to act if necessary when the values change for that patient.
